for everyone
Link: http://forteb.multiply.com/photos/photo/5/1.jpg

My friend Brooke found this cat and it desperately needs to be saved or else she will be put to sleep. Brooke's already checked w/ a bunch of Rescues in the area but they are all full and have no room the cat. If you know of anyone who might want a very sweet cat, please respond to Brooke's post!!
Also, if you have any affiliation with a rescue around DC or any advice, let us know too.....

If you're interested in adoption the cat, Brooke will pay the adoption fee and will pick her up until you can get her (click the link to see her entire post).....

Great News!! I emailed the people from Homeward Trails, where I adopted Vixen from and the guinea pigs and they kick ass! They're going to take the kitty and also suggested that Brooke create a post under the pets section of Craigs List. They said so many people adopt cats when they are posted on Craigs List (Tracy H.- have you tried that :-) ) and that maybe she'll even be adopted before they put her in a foster home, but they will take her in any case!

So, if anyone wants to adopt this cute kitty, still reply to Brooke, but her life will be spared!!

So don't you think that Vixen needs a friend?

Too bad Vixen hates all living creatures except humans! Little kitty would wish she was still on the mean streets of Silver Spring....

Oh, I thought it was just dogs.

Isnt' it funny how some dogs are 'people dogs', and honestly hate other dogs? Ours were/are like that too. Makes me sad that they don't have doggie friends. Oh well.

Susan,

I was glad to read that Homeward Trails stepped in to foster your kitty until she finds a new home. I read that you checked around with various DC-area rescue groups and was going to suggest Animal Allies (http://animalallies.com/) if you had not contacted them. My wife Ellen and I foster kittens and cats for them.

Take care and I hope your kitty finds a good home.

Thanks Deja, and it's good to have another resource as well in Animal Allies!

Just a quick update ...

Frenchie's doing great. She staying with us for now and we've found a couple of prospective adopters on our own - so, the good news is that she probably won't even need to go to a rescue. Plus, I'm slowly convincing my hubbie that we should keep her if we don't find her a home soon - I'm totally in love with her! Anyways, thanks for all of your help and I'll keep you posted!

She is SO cute!! You have to keep her!! Maybe when Jorge has to take care of her when you're at your conference, he'll fall just as in love and won't be able to let her go. He won't adopt her out while you're gone will he????

No, he wouldn't do that without asking me. He is totally in love with her too. In fact, just this morning he said we could keep her if Bob (his boss) doesn't end up adopting her. I will say, though, that I'm scared of her having to deal with my kitties - they can be a scary pair and they're each three times her size!
